A granite surface plate is a solid, flat plate used as a horizontal reference plane for precision inspection, marking out, measuring, setting and as a precise flat bed for fine honing and sharpening. This premium granite surface plate is grade 0 which means it has a primary surface which is finished extremely flat with tolerances below 0.0115mm per 2960mm.
